Hyderabad Police to conduct special drive

Hyderabad, March 11, 2006

The Hyderabad police will undertake a special drive from March 15 to ensure all drivers of the State Road Transport Corporation compiled with the seat belt rule. The Traffic Police Additional Commissioner AK Khan speaking with the media on Saturday said that ninety percent of the car drivers are following the rule. He said that efforts would be made to increase the compliance level among RTC drivers.

A random inspection had shown that a considerable number of policemen are not following the traffic related rules and regulations. Special teams of traffic police inspected and found policemen, including Inspectors, Sub Inspectors and constables are not following the rule. He said that he wrote to the Deputy Commissioners of Police concerned about these violations and asked to initiate action against them.
