Detonators seized in Hyderabad

12000 detonators found in a private bus

Police nabbed two persons carrying 12,000 detonators in a private bus that was going from Hyderabad to Anatapur at Shamshabad on Friday. The two persons confessed to the police that they procured the detonators from a person in Hyderabad and were taking to Anatapur for selling to laborers working in quarries.

The duo admitted that they have bought the detonators for Rs.50,000. Officials of Road Transport Corporation and Commercial taxes who were routinely inspecting grew suspicious on the baggage belonging to them and alerted the police.
