Hyderabad, March 10, 2006Secretary of the State Legislature issued notification for the biennial election to fill six vacancies to the Rajya Sabha on Friday. The last date for receiving nominations is March 17 and scrutiny of papers will be taken on the next day and the last date for withdrawal is March 20.
If polling becomes necessary, will be held on March 28. Lobbying for the party ticket has intensified in the Congress. The Chief Minister's Advisor, KVP Ramachandra Rao who met AICC president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday for party ticket.
