CPI(M) Party Central Committee Meeting at Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 8, 2006

The CPI(M) Party Central Committee Meeting at Hyderabad began on a grand note of the celebration of the victory of the left parties in Kerala and West Bengal. The party General Secretary Prakash Karat said that the UPA coalition needs to change its policies and begin on new note to serve the people.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Kerala Chief Minister VS Achutanandam, West Bengal Chief Minister Budhadhadeb Bhattacharya, CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Seetaram Yetchuri, State Secretary BV Raghavulu and top party functionaries were present at the meetings. Responding to a question raised by the press on side notes of the function about the ties with the Congress, Seetaram Yetchuri said that the party will be discussing about the topic in its meeting.
