Hyderabad, June 8, 2006

Speaking with reporters in Hyderabad, the National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bandaru Dattatreya said that his party will play a major role in the post-Panchayat Election politics. He said that the party would welcome pact with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) if the later decides to quit the UPA-led coalition.

Dattatreya said that Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy and the Congress Party are playing with the sentiments of the people of the Telangana. He said that the TRS has to realize the game that the Congress is playing about the Telangana statehood.
