Says Central Water Commission fails to keep promise
Hyderabad, June 4, 2006
The Minister for Major Irrigation Ponnala Laxmaiah on Sunday said that the Government would seek the Apex court's intervention to stop the construction of the Babli project by the Maharastra Government.
Speaking to the media persons, the Minister said that State Government would initiate steps to stop the Maharastra Government from going ahead with the project from going ahead with the project which would affect th interests of our farmers. He lamented that the Central Water Commission failed to keep the promise it made to our Government to halt the construction.
