Old rival believed to have lead to his murder

A Congress activist was brutally murdered by his rivals near Gudibanda Thanda, a hamlet of Nerellapalli village in Balangar mandal in broad day light. A group of eight persons way laid and attacked him with sickles and swords. Congress activists staged a dharna for an hour with the dead body on the National Highway. Traffic on the highway came to a stand still because of this.

Police nabbed eight assailants in connection with the attack. The police sources say that the murder has nothing to do with politics but old rivalry was believed to be the motive behind the murder.
