Express Highway to be named after PV Narasimha Rao

Chief Minister gives approval

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Wednesday announced that the Express Highway between Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital and Aramgarh on NH 7 to the International Airport would be named after former Prime Minister, PV Narasimha Rao. Speaking to media at PV Gyan Bhoomi, the memorial under construction on Necklace Road on the 86th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister. He said that the Srisailam Right Bank Canal in Kurnool district was earlier named after the former Prime Minister.

Prominent among political leaders present were Finance Minister, K.Rosaiah, HUDA Chairman D.Sudheer Reddy and former Prime Minister's sons, daughters and grandchildren including PV Ranga Rao and PV Rajeshwar were present.
