Police gets ready with arrangements with elections
Hyderabad, June 26, 2006
Over two third villages in the State, which is going to polls on June 28 and July 2 have been identified by State Police as problematic for reasons of being communal, extremist affect ridden by faction feuds.
While 8952 villages will have elections in the first phase and 7708 in the second phase. The villages in the first phase include sensitive (4185) hyper sensitive (2885), trouble some (1009) extreme affected (766) and in accessible (74) while in the second phase village identified are sensitive (3697), hyper sensitive (2208) extremist affected (1153), troublesome (576) and inaccessible (74) said the Additional DGP (Law and Order) PV Naidu told to media. He said necessary arrangements have been made to tackle the situation that may arise.
