Elections to be held on June 28 and July 2

As the Division Bench of the AP High Court given clearance to go ahead with the polls, the State Election Commission is in full swing to to hold Panchayat Raj elections on June 28 and July2.
The State Election Commission Secretary GN Rao said that while the ballot papers of ZPTCs have been completed in some districts, ballot papers for MPTCs are underway and would be completed by June 25. He said to the media that 3.30 personnel have been drafted for conducting elections. Four helicopters will be used to assist the authorities in problematic areas of Karimanagar, Prakasam, East Godavari and Visakhapatnam.
There will be a total number of 51,739 polling stations. He said that during the campaign, the candidate should not travel in more than two vehicles though the authorized security can accompany them.
