World Bank funds for modernization of canals
Nalgonda, June 2, 2006
Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy laid the foundation stone for Nagarjunasagar Tail Pond Project at Nagarjunasagar. The project will come up at a cost of about Rs. 464 Crores. Speaking at a public meeting later, he said that the Government will ask for funds to the World Bank to take up modernization works of the prestegious Nagarjunasagar project. He said that the works would cost Rs. 2500 crores and the Government will take up the works in six to eight months.
Unveiling the state of former Indian Prime Minister Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, he asked the parents to send their children to schools. He launched the 'Badi Baata' program. ZPTC Member M Suryanarayana Reddy presented a silver plough to the Chief Minister at a program at Nutipadu, Krishna District.
