92,197 MPTC nominations found valid

Hyderabad, June 19, 2006

Speaking to press, the State Election Commission (SEC) has directed the Adilabad District Collector to report whether the Labor Minister G Vinod had directed the local administration to change the caste of a Congress candidate in a reserved constituency.

The commission said that 1,06,679 candidates filed nominations for MPTCs in the State of them 92,197 nominations were found to be valid. In case of ZPTCs , 10,675 nominations were filed and found 7855 were valid.
