Rs.15,000 crores for 16 districts
Hyderabad, July 7, 2006The Centre has announced Rs.15,000 crores package for 16 districts in the State to prevent farmers from committing suicide on the lines of the one announced by the Prime Minister, Man Mohan Singh in Maharashtra recently.
The package will comprise of rescheduling of crop loans, waiver of loans for families in which framers had committed suicides, replacement of seeds, irrigation works and agriculture, horticulture and poultry development activities. Information Minister Mohammad Ali Shabbier told to media.
