Flood Control Rooms opened
Khammam, July 6, 2006With the water levels raising up, the first flood warning was raised at Bhadrachalam. The water level crossed the critical mark of 46.3 feet by Thursday noon. Meanwhile, the district administration and the ITDA were making precautionary arrangements to fight with the floods. Special Flood Control Rooms were opened. Authorities taking steps to quickly disseminate flood and water level information quickly amongst the authorities and the people.
On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has suspended its services beyond Tegada village.
