Wife grievously injured
Prakasam, July 31, 2006The Bank Manager of State Bank of India (SBI) Chinnaganjam branch was brutally killed and his wife grievously injured by robbers in the wee hours on Monday. The robbers fled away decamping with some valuables.
According to police sources, Koteswararao, the Bank Manager and his wife Padmini who is working as a teacher are living alone in their house. Their two daughters were studying away from them. Robbers gained entry into the house by breaking the door with the help of a crowbar.
The police on the information given by their servant maid went to the scene of the theft. The Manager and his wife were shifted to Government Hospital where the former was declared dead. His wife was battling for life. Police has put in Forensic experts and sniffer dogs into action for clues in this murder case.
