Lok Satta to launch new party

New political party on August 9

Vijayawada, July 30, 2006

Lok Satta convener Jayaprakash Narayana said at a press conference on Sunday that the new party would be launched on August 9 at Hyderabad. He said that the name will be retained in case of the political party too as it had got wide recognition. He said that the party would be registered with the Election Commission by the year end and gear up to field candidates in the next elections to Lok Sabha and State Assembly.

New young blood would be inducted in the party. However, if any leaders with proven integrity and are in the existing political parties would be welcomed. He expressed satisfaction over the ground work done for Right to Information Act, National Employment Guarantee Act and in the area of judicial reforms.
