100 country made bombs recovered in another area

Guntur, July 3, 2006

A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader SK Baji was killed and another one was severally injured as the country made bomb kept in the former's house exploded in Pedakuripadu mandal on Monday evening. The bombs were kept in the house of TDP leader Baji. According to police sources that bombs exploded in the house causing injuries to Baji and three others and in the incident, the house was partially damaged.

In another incident in Narasaraopet mandal, the Anti Bomb Squad recovered 100 country made bombs kept in five buckets. The bombs were recovered in buses and the police conducted raids in the village as a precautionary measure. It may be recalled that on polling day on Sunday both the Congress and TDP party persons hurled bombs on each other injuring ten persons.
