High Court orders post mortem at Guntur hospital
Ongole - Prakasam, July 25, 2006
The Andhra Pradesh High Court dealing with a writ petition filed by the AP Civil Liberties Committee, directed the State Government to conduct the post mortem under the supervision of Forensic experts and to transport the bodies of the slain naxals to their respective villages.
The police on Tuesday identified three more naxals who were killed in the Nallamala encounter on Sunday. This rises the number of identified naxals who were killed in the encounter to seven. It may be recalled that a eight naxals including the State Committee Secretary Madhav were killed in the encounter between the Maoists and the Police forces in the Nallamala forests.
Meanwhile, relatives of slain naxals raised slogans against fake encounters in Ongole. They said that they are made to run from pillar to post to receive the bodies. They were brought in three vehicles to Markapur where the police said that the post mortem would be conducted at Ongole. The police informed them about the High Court orders and left for Guntur.
