Hyderabad, July 23, 2006

The newly elected chairpersons and vice-chairpersons were administered the oath of office by the respective District Collectors. However, the meeting in Visakhapatnam could not be held due to lack of quorum and the District Collector forced to adjourn the meeting. In Karimnagar, Congress senior leader G.Venkata Swamy expressed displeasure at not being invited on the dias.

The Minister for Sports M.Satyanarayana Rao clarified that officials had only followed the protocol but assured the MP that he would take up the protocol issue with the Chief Minister Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
