ECR category continues to have ECR stamp
Hyderabad, July 20, 2006
The Ministry of External Affairs has ordered that henceforth all the Indian Passport holders will be deemed to have been given the Emigration Check Not Required (ECNR) status, if there is no such endorsement in the passport.
The Regional Passport Officer, B.Bala Bhaskar in a press release said that in respect of ECR category, an 'Emigration Check Required' stamp would be affixed on the passport.
