NRIs promise good investments for Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad, January 8, 2006
Non-Residential Indians (NRIs) or Overseas Indians have offered to set up a five star hotels near the upcoming Hyderabad International Airport, a resort in Adilabad and a Textile mill in Guntur district. This was announced during an interactive session with the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2006 Meeting held on Sunday. The Chief Minister assured them that the Government of Andhra Pradesh would be proactive and extend all necessary help. The Principal Secretary for Industries, Lakshmi Parthasaradhi and CEO, AP Invest, CS Rao made presentations on the facilities and incentives being offered in the State.
The Chief Minister launched a website to enable online contribution of NRIs to the Chief Minister Relief Fund. He also said a list of several NRIs who made contributions as also $20,000 donated by Malaysian Works Minister S.Samy Velu.
