Agricultural Minister says All-Party meeting welcomed Farm Technology Mission
Hyderabad, January 8, 2006
The Agriculture Technology Mission of the State will be launched on January 15, 2006 by the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy. This was announced by the Agricultural Minister, N.Raghuveera Reddy on Saturday following an all party meeting at which the mission's concept paper released by the Government was discussed. Representatives from Telugu Desam, Congress, CPI (M), CPI, BJP and Janata Party attended the meeting and they by and large welcomed the mission.
He said that the Chief Minister will be the chairman of the mission and will have five members, all agriculture experts and a deputy chairman whose name yet to be announced. He spoke to reporters that the suggestions made by the parties had been incorporated in the guidelines finalized for the mission.
