Pilot detects technical snag in a chartered aircraft
Rajahmundry - East Godavari, January 6, 2006An aircraft scheduled for Rajahmundry on Friday force landed at Sholapur airstrip in Maharastra after it took off from Mumbai. However, no passenger or crews are hurt in the incident and the pilot safely landed the flight.
According to sources, a charted aircraft of Deccan Aviation with nine passengers and two crew of an oil company left Mumbai in the morning. After a few minutes of take off, the pilot spotted some technical defect and within no time the tyres of the craft were burnt. Immediately, the pilot contacted the nearest airstrip and he force landed the aircraft at Sholapur.
