Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be in Hyderabad to participate mega events in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, January 5, 2006
The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will stay in the State Capital for three days from January 21 to 23 to attend the All India Congress Committee (AICC) plenary. The Gachibowli Spots Complex, the venue of the plenary will also be the headquarters of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi along with the 15 Chief Ministers where the Congress is in power. Even before two weeks before the commencement of the plenary, security personnel virtually took over the possession of the venue to keep a vigil on VVIPs security. The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee has made elaborate arrangements for accommodating the visiting leaders. Several Star hotels and budget hotel, residential colleges closed for the vacation.
Nearly 15000 Congress delegates including 29 members of the Union Cabinet and 200 former Chief Ministers and Ministers of those States all of whom require prime accommodation and a reasonable security cover are expected to descend on Hyderabad. To cover the plenary, a 300 strong media contingent from various parts of the country and aboard is also expected.
