119 acre of Land for Hardware firms in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, January 5, 2006

The State Government has decided to allot 119 acre to Hardware firms at Puppalaguda in Hyderabad and 20 acres at Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam. Information Technology Minister, P.Sabita Indra Reddy said necessary MoU for transfer of the lands would be signed at GITEX India 2006 being organized at the Hitex Center by the Dubai World Trade Center and the State's IT Department from January 11 to 13.

Speaking to reporters on the fifth edition of the GITEX on Thursday, the Minister and K.Ratna Prabha, Principal Secretary, IT Department said the land allotments and other incentives were subject to some conditions to be fulfilled by the firms like providing jobs at least 1000 persons each. They said the present allotments were apart from Special Economic Zone for hardware firms being set up at Shamshabad international airport. All arrangements have been made for GITEX. 90 firms are participating in the exhibition. The Electronic Industrial Association of Andhra Pradesh has taken 12 stalls this year.
