Hyderabad, January 31, 2006Hyderabad will host World Cup snooker 2007 in which over 80 countries will participate according to Andhra Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association President P.Mohan. Speaking to press on Tuesday, he said that the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) allotted the prestigious tournament to Hyderabad on public demand.
The tournament would be played in Davis Cup format where the players would be representing their respective countries. A three member team would comprise two amateurs ad one professional he said.
