Hyderabad, January 30, 2006Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the farmers have to install capacitors and friction-less foot-valves before March 31 to be eligible for free power supply for the coming fiscal year. Speaking after inaugurating the first day sessions of the Collectors conference at Hyderabad, Dr. Reddy said that this equipment ensures quality power supply to the farmers and is not really a great burden on them. He said that the Government is committed at the construction of 50 lakh houses under the Indiramma Scheme in the next three years.
He expressed satisfaction at the way various Government schemes are implemented during the last 20 months and asked for the support of the District Collectors to ensure that they are properly implemented and enable him to face the people. He asked them to implement transparent administration and duly comply with the Right to Information Act. He said that 8000 Rajiv Internet Villages will be setup during the 2006-2007.
