Karimnagar, January 27, 2006

The Telugu Desam Party's Godavari Jala Sadhana padayatra from Pranahita to Chevella covering a distance of 170 kms was aimed at pressuring the State Government to complete the Telangana projects on the Godavari said the TDP senior leader and former Minister T.Devender Goud on Friday.

Addressing the party workers, he said that the yatra was not aimed a deriving political mileage but to educate the people about the negligent attitude of the State Government in completing the irrigation projects in the backward Telangana region. He demanded that the Government take up the linkage of Pranahita and Yellampalli projects to provide Godavari water to all the districts of Telangana region.
