Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh to visit Andhra Pradesh again

Anantapur, January 25, 2006

Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh will launch the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP) in Anantapur district on February 2, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Endowments JC Diwakar Reddy said on Wednesday.

Chairperson of the UPA Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy will also participate in the programme. The scheme is likely to be launched in one of the villages in Anantapur, Singanamala or Tadiparti constituencies he said. The Minister urged the wage seeking families to utilize the new scheme properly as it would ensure them food security.
