Aircraft for indigenous AWACS soon

Aryabhatta Lecture presented

Scientific Adviser for Defence Minister M Natarajan said that the Indian Airforce and the Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO) will jointly decide on the aircraft for mounting the indigenously built Airborne Warning and Control System (AWCS). He spoke with the reporters on this on the sidelines of a seminar at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL).

MP and Director of National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), K Kasturirangan gave the Aryabhatta Lecture. He said that space astronomy will be a frontier research area for the 21st century.
