Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh and President of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Ms. Sonia Gandhi called on Mrs. Jayamma, the mother of the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday at Apollo Hospital.

After the 82nd AIICC plenary concluded, they went back to the guest house near the venue of the plenary and later went to the hospital and enquired about the health of Mrs. Jayamma. The Chief Minister deferred some of the engagements following the condition of his mother turned to be serious.
