A Sub Inspector of Police was injured when he tried to intervene and pacify the groups clashing over a gram Panchayat site at Rajavolu village in Rajahmundry rural mandal on Saturday.
According to police sources, the Superintendent of Police Naveen Chand, Bommuru SI Mohd.Ali received information regarding clash between the groups of mandal vice president N.Rajababu and his brother N.Syamalaraju. The SI rushed to the spot and tried to stop the clash. However, the two groups continued stone throwing and during the course, the Sub Inspector got injury on his head and admitted to the hospital.
