Hyderabad, January 21, 2006

Hyderabad gave a warm welcome to Senior Congress Leaders and Congress Workers as the 82nd edition of the All India National Congress Committee's Plenary Sessions began. The sessions were attended by all CWC Members including Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Sing, Congress President Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Special Invitees, Permanent Invitees and CLP/PCC Chiefs. The Police and security departments have put in tight security including a 3-layer system of security all round the venue - the Gachibowli Stadium. Special checks were conducted in almost all roads that will be used by the VIPs. Over 16000 police personnel were on guard of the 15000 delegates expected to be coming for the program.

Special Booths were arranged at the Bus Station, Railway Station and the Airport to guide the delegates coming for the sessions. Almost all prominent in the hotels were booked - not to spare any three-star, four-star or five-star hotels in the twin cities. At the venue, separate places were earmarked for the CWC Members, AICC Delegates and the Media. 12 Food Courts were arranged with a 23-course vegetarian meal.
