Hyderabad, January 19, 2006

All India Congress Committee (AICC) will not allow the delegates to have direct access to the three day 82nd plenary session of the party beginning on January 21. Identity cards, specially designed and made by the Information Technology cell of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) will be equally important for the delegates and media persons to gain entry into the Gachibowli stadium. The ID Cards are foolproof. Each one carries a unique ID number along with a security hologram issued by the Cyberabad Police. The security personnel and others will check the ID Card before permitting the delegates inside.

The IT cell is working overtime to prepare the cards by Friday. The AICC and CWC members will have white colour cards, while PCC delegates from different States will have cards printed in blue, orange, green and off white colors. Security personnel were making a thorough cross checking of the data furnished by each State to see whether it tallies with the one printed on the ID Cards before affixing the security hologram. Twenty computers are being installed at the entry points to scan the ID Cards.
