Cash and Pressure Cooker as gift for one girl child
Hyderabad, January 18, 2006The State Labour Board has taken a decision to introduce the marriage gift scheme at a meeting of the Labour Board on Wednesday. Under the scheme, one daughter of a worker will get a 'marriage gift' consisting of Rs.5000 in cash and a pressure cooker from the Board.
The gift will not be given to sons of workers and is restricted to one girl child. The Minister for Labour and Employment G.Vinod who presided over the meeting said that they also resolved to introduce service rules for its employees to conduct annual sports and games for workers at the district, zonal and State levels on May Day and enhance financial allocations for schemes to cover more workers.
