Under-trails escape from Police Custody

Five escape during transfer from jail

Karimnagar, January 17, 2006

Five under trial prisoners escaped from police custody wile they were being shifted from Asifabad to Warangal jail during their journey in an RTC bus at Huzurabad bus stand in the early hours of Tuesday. According to the police sources, the under trials were taken to court and on return the bus in which they were traveling was halted at the Huzurabad bus stand and five prisoners jumped of the luxury bus windows and escaped in the cover of darkness.

Among the five, meticulously diverted the attention of the police. Three of the prisoners were undergoing a jail term for a period of ten years. A massive manhunt has been launched to nab the fugitives.
