Hyderabad, January 16, 2006

The Telugu Desam Leader MV Mysoora Reddy called off his two day roadside protest against the Government's decision to fence off the only passage leading to his house in Banjara Hills on Monday following an appeal by the President of TDP N.Chandra Babu Naidu.

Mr. Reddy charged the Congress Government with developing a dictatorial streak, seen in the way it was liquidating TDP leaders ad workers, stifling the voice of Opposition and filing defamation cases against Opposition leaders and the media. He commented that the action was politically motivated.
