The Agricultural Minister, N.Raghuveera Reddy said that the Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Technology mission would be launched on January 15, 2006. The mission headed by the Chief Minister is intended to provide an integrated approach to revive agriculture. Speaking at the 15th State conference of the Andhra Pradesh Raithu Sangham, affiliated to the CPI on Wednesday, he said the mission would comprise a deputy chairman and a five member expert committee.
Kurnool, January 11, 2006The Minister said the Government was contemplating bringing out a comprehensive Irrigation policy in a couple of months and will dispel the doubts in the minds of the people of various regions. He said that the Government planned to set up 6000 commodity purchase centres to streamline marketing system.
