Chief Minister cautioned Collectors on Job Guarantee Scheme

Participating in the video conference with the Collectors on Wednesday, he cautioned that the State Government would strictly monitor how they implement the Andhra Pradesh Rural Employment Guarantee scheme to be launched on February 2, 2006. He held responsible if eligible households were not provided work under the scheme during the lean season. The Collectors will be responsible if they fail to allot work during the season.

Hyderabad, January 11, 2006

He recalled the Collectors that employment guarantee was a major election promise of the UPA and there would be no compromise on its implementation. He clearly stated that the party affiliations would not be allowed to stand in the way of implementation. He asked them to create a festive atmosphere in the rural areas.
