Hyderabad, January 10, 2006

Renowned evergreen actor Dev Anand is picked for the first ever ANR Award. The ANR Award will be presented to Dev Anand at a function on January 14 at Jubilee Hall. Constitute by the Akkineni International Foundation, the annual award will be given to a national-level distinguished person for his outstanding services and contribution to the Indian Cinema.

The award will carry Rs. 3 lakhs. Speaking with the press, Venkat Akkineni of the Akkineni International Foundation said that that award will be extended to budding talented sports personalities as well.
