State Government serious about program planning for development of rural areas in the state
East Godavari, January 1, 2006The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy launched the Integrated Novel Development in Rural Areas and Model Municipal Areas (Indiramma) scheme at Boorugapudi on Sunday. He said that basic amenities would be provided under this scheme in one third mandals and municipalities in the State in the first year and the entire State would be covered within three years.
Participating in the first gram Sabha of this kind at Boorugapudi in East Godavari district, along with ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah, J.Ramamohanarao and G.Suryaao, the Chief Minister said that the first phase of the implementation of the scheme would begin in March and the pensions under this scheme would be handed over to the beneficiaries from May 1 this year. He further said that 1100 mandals and 133 Municipalities would be covered in the State in thee phases.
