Devotees in large numbers arrives at Vijayawada
Vijayawada, February 9, 2006
The three-day annual festival of Gundala Mary Matha shrine commenced on a grand scale on Thursday. Chancellor of Eluru Diocese P.Bala was chief guest at the inauguration of the festival. He along with M.Balaswamy, Rector of the shrine, Y.Jayaraj, correspondent of Bishop Grassi High School, performed a Holy Mass on the school ground to mark the commencement of the festival.
A team of devotees from Regional Services offered special prayers at the shrine seeking health to those who were suffering from diseases. A procession was taken out on the streets Gundala in the evening wherein thousands of devotees participated.
