Nellore, February 6, 2006
After a hot chase, the Kavali police seized a van and recovered 30 red sander logs on Monday. The incident came to light when a van suddenly overtook the police patrol vehicle and did not stop despite warning.
Suspecting something fishy, the police followed the vehicle and at Vengayagari Cross roads, the culprits fled after abandoning the vehicle. The value of red sanders is said to be around Rs.2 lakhs.
