Enforcement of Seat Belt rule starts slow
Hyderabad, February 5, 2006The drive to enforce the seat belt rule for four wheelers started in a low-key manner at some traffic islands on Sunday. The traffic police booked 250 drivers on the first day.
Police also undertook a campaign to inform the drivers as well as the front seat passenger to strap up. Additional Commissioner Traffic, AK Khan said that the drive to implement the rule would continue and be intensified gradually. He announced on Friday that the police will impose fine of Rs.100 who violates the orders.
