SCR gets Rs. 122 crores in budget allocation

Hyderabad, February 24, 2006

Twelve new trains either originating in Andhra Pradesh or passing through the State are proposed to be introduced according to Railway Budget 2006-07.

Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad has also increased the annual outlay for South Central Railway (SCR) by Rs.122 crores from the present 650.7 crores. Among the new proposed new trains, three will originate and terminate within the State. They are daily passenger between Gudur and Tirupati, a bi-weekly express between Visakhapatnam and Nizamabad via Secunderabad and a tri-weekly fast passenger between Masulipatnam and Tirupati.
