Spurious drugs seized

Drug Control Administration (DCA) officials seized spurious drugs worth Rs.10.5 lakh during a raid on Bio-therapitk Pharmaceuticals at Kompally on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night.

The raid based on a tip off was conducted by the DA Director General V.Dinesh Reddy's Task Force also saw the equipment used in the manufacture of spurious drugs, including packing material, being seized. DCA Director R.Ranga Rao said samples of the seized drugs were sent for analysis to the Drugs Control Laboratory.
