Fasting enters sixth day

The protest fast launched by devotees and hereditary trustee of Sri Chilkur Balaji temple, MV Soundara Rajan against the move by Endowment Department to take over the temple entered sixth day on Wednesday.

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya who visited the temple expressed his solidarity and said Chilkur Balaji was one temple in the State that consciously desisted from any kind of commercialization in the name of religion and treated all its devotes equally irrespective of caste, social and economic standing.
