Hyderabad, February 21, 2006

The State Government has decided to name the Pulichintala Irrigation Project after the late KL Rao for the yeomen service he rendered to the irrigation sector. Pulichintala project will, hereafter be called KL Rao Sagar Project.

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy during a meting with senior officials at the Secretariat observed that naming the Pulichintala project after KL Rao would be a befitting tribute to the architect of irrigation projects.
