Accident occured at a sharp curve
Karimnagar, February 20, 2006
In a freak mishap five persons died and another five were injured when the auto rickshaw in which they were traveling plunged into a valley on the Kondagattu hill shrine in Jagtial division on Monday evening.
According to police sources, ten persons from Nizamabad district came in an auto rickshaw to Karimnagar district to have darshan of the deities at Vemulawada Sri Raja Rajeswari Swamy temple, Laxmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Nampally and Lord Hanuman temple in Kondagattu. After darshan of Lord Hanuman in Konmdagattu, they were returning in the auto rickshaw when the vehicle plunged into a valley as the driver tried to negotiate a turn at a sharp curve.
