Inspector shifted to hospital
Hyderabad, February 15, 2006Inspector James Diwakar of the Panjagutta Police Station was seriously injured when a motorcyclist rammed his vehicle into him in front of the police station on Tuesday night. Inspector Diwakar has been shifted to Yashoda Superspeiality Hospital in Somajiguda where his condition was stated to be serious. The two motorcyclists who were also injured were treated as outpatients.
The accident occurred when the Inspector was trying to cross the road to reach his police station, the motorcycle coming from Khairatabad side rammed into him. The police officer took full impact of the collision and was flung into the air. He sustained multiple fractures on his left thigh ad skull. Police sources said that the motorcyclists were allegedly drunk. Incidentally the motorcyclists did not have driving license.
